Every purchase supports a woman farmer or artisan of the Northeast

Our Story

Lékopé was born from a belief that when women organize, communities transform.

Based in Majuli, Assam, our women-owned collective brings together farmers and artisans to create sustainable livelihoods through agriculture, handloom, and eco-friendly crafts.

Every product purchased strengthens rural families, restores soil health, and preserves traditional skills.

When customers choose Lekope, they invest in women-led agriculture, community ownership, and ethical rural enterprise.

Our Impact

Lékopé is strengthening rural livelihoods by enabling women farmers, producers and artisans to access better markets, increase their incomes, and lead collective production with confidence. Through skills, value addition, and community-driven enterprise, we are attempting to reshape local economies with dignity and resilience.

We now envision Lékopé becoming Northeast India’s largest women-led Farmer Producer Company-rooted in collective strength and sustainable growth

Meet the Women

The women directors and promoters of Lékopé have risen as grassroots leaders from Majuli’s Self-Help Group movement. Rooted in trust and lived experience, they are driving collective enterprises that expand opportunity, deepen community ownership, and scale impact across the region
